About

Studio Tash Ho is an emerging Edinburgh-based architecture practice founded by architect and designer Tash Ho.

The studio focusses on sensitive, well-crafted design, and adaptable architecture for contemporary living. We champion natural, sustainable materials, creating spaces which delight and endure.

Before founding the studio, Tash worked with leading practices across the UK, developing broad experience across education, community, civic, historic buildings, and high-end residential projects. Having previously worked as a project and site manager on projects in Scotland and abroad, this hands-on background informs her holistic, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach – shaping designs that are as practical as they are beautiful.

Tash has a particular passion for the restoration of heritage buildings, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative, sustainable detailing. She believes firmly in the creative adaptation of existing buildings – preserving their history and legacy whilst upgrading and adapting them to meet contemporary needs. Her experience includes Passivhaus, fabric-first and retrofit design, all of which focus on insulation and airtightness to minimise heat demands to achieve low-energy buildings.

She studied at Kent School of Architecture, where she graduated with a First Class Honours degree and was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal. She completed her Masters at the University of Bath, before concluding her architectural training at Newcastle University, graduating with distinction. Tash is a chartered member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
